Wind Cave

Okay! Our adventure started on the second day, the visitation to Wind Cave in Bau! There are actually 2 caves in this little town, Wind Cave & Fairy Cave. Anyway we didn't pay a visit to Fairy Cave as it's relatively far away from Bau bus terminal.

Bau is actually one of the old town in Kuching, where it's well-known by its mines during period of British's colony. Its Chinese name is awesome too, 石隆门 sound super cool hoho. I'm glad we have been here, to see this small town even before I knew this is the first place when long time ago the Chinese moved in Saraw ak. From Kuching, we successfully took public bus of Sarawak Transport Co. to Bau (you know, sometimes it could be so hard to wait for the bus especially when they are not regular) after had our breakfast. Feel good to have hot and steaming breakfast in the morning btw~ *satisfied*

We came to a petrol station before we caught a cab to the Wind Cave. Still not deciding which cave we are going at this point, an auntie working in the station warmly recommended us to visit Wind Cave, as it is bigger inside and Fairy Cave has only one long, high ladder to be climbed. One of the exciting thing about travelling is get to connect with people and get strangers' helping hands. Thanks! :) After asking around if there were any cheaper transport to carry us from bus terminal to the cave, we eventually took a cab that cost a RM8 for both of us.

Well, this is the very first time that I ever visit to a cave. Truly amazed by the complete darkness inside the cave and how breezy and how the bats live inside, I can say this is a worthy trip to me! Formation of stalactites and stalagmites were explained on the signboard, though I'm too devoted by the abundant of bats flying above our heads. There is a literal beautiful skylight in the cave too.

So affordable the entry fee! Only RM1 per pax~

The entrance of the cave.
Inside the cave, it's real dark and can seen many bats with the help of torchlight. Photo took with flash.

Some are low enough that I can touched! Hope I won't looked like a gibbon here. Lol~

How its outside looked like. Magnificent!

Inside the cave, we walked slowly in the darkness. My neck ached from kept lifting my head to see above my head lol. At first I was excited to see all that bats and enjoyed the coolness in the cave, but soon fear came in my mind as I started to imagine what would we do if the battery of the torchlight dead...we would be trapped in this dark, huge place! So I walked so quietly,  hoping we can make it through safely. Lol my mom sure will kill me if she knew how dark inside. She has been always concerns about my safely. >.< Plus! Two of my friends once told me a ghost story about Wind Cave after they finished internship in Kuching. The story goes: there is a man who picked up the bird's nest in cave for selling, and a rock shown up and asking him if he rather to stay here inside the cave and let the rock to live his life. Kinda of exchanging and I'm scared! Lol sincerely thought no one can help us inside the isolated cave if anything happened! >...<

Okay. Just some rambles of mine...anyway nothing happened at the end lol. :p
